Co-founder of Emerald Cloud Lab and inventor of the cloud laboratory concept. Has worked with the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology on its recommendations around cloud labs.
Develops finite-state AI agent frameworks for reliable, auditable control of laboratory workflows, including SciBORG and CLAW. His group's agent stack is integrated at NIH NCATS.
Leads national initiatives in AI literacy, AI integration in curriculum, and automated science, with subject-matter expertise in autonomous polymer synthesis and characterization.
